Our exhibition room

KUNSThouse is located in a historical building in Zurich’s old city, just three minutes’ walk from the main Swiss art museum and surrounded by renowned galleries along Rämistrasse. A place where history and contemporary art meet at the heart of the city.

Why: We give galleries from outside Zurich direct access to local collectors and art lovers, introducing contemporary artists with a distinctive voice  in a fresh context as well as rediscovering forgotten artists. Our space offers collectors the chance to encounter both contemporary and overlooked works without traveling far, provides art lovers with trusted guidance when buying, and invites independent thinkers to widen their views and networks through meaningful artistic dialogues across time and disciplines.

What: Our core is a year-round exhibition program combining curated shows with engaging events. By aligning with major cultural moments in Zurich and Switzerland, we ensure visibility beyond our own walls. We position ourselves as a low-threshold and lively meeting place where collectors and art lovers return regularly to discover new voices, revisit neglected ones, follow artistic developments, and experience works placed in thought-provoking contexts across different eras.

How: We realize this program by bringing together artworks from partner galleries, local artists, and estates, creating both breadth and depth. Each exhibition is carefully curated and activated: contemporary works are placed in dialogue with forgotten or historical pieces, while personalities from science, music, law, and gastronomy add fresh perspectives through accompanying events. At the same time, we cultivate a strong community around our activities, fostering lasting connections between collectors, art lovers, and curious minds across disciplines.
