RESUME ORLANDO MAROSINI (b. 1991, Hungary)
Born in 1991 in Budapest, Hungary, Orlando Marosini is a contemporary self-taught artist based in Zurich, Switzerland. Working across painting, ceramics, installation, and contemporary visual culture, his practice combines expressionist gestures with influences from graffiti, animation, digital culture, and urban aesthetics. Through vivid colours, layered textures, and emotionally charged figures, Marosini explores themes of energy, identity, overstimulation, and human emotion in contemporary society.
Marosini’s instinctive visual language merges humour, chaos, nostalgia, and psychological tension, transforming contemporary anxieties into playful and optimistic visual narratives. Influenced by cartoons, sci-fi, architecture, video games, and symbolic characters, he creates immersive worlds balancing emotional intensity with childlike freedom and imagination. Central to his practice is the concept of energy — expressed through colour, movement, texture, and emotionally charged forms — which he considers the driving force of his artistic language. His works channel personal memories, emotional states, and imagined realities into compositions oscillating between tension and optimism, while seeking to reconnect viewers with playfulness, instinct, and emotional freedom.
Since 2020, Marosini has exhibited extensively in Switzerland and internationally, including exhibitions in Zurich, Basel, St. Moritz, London, Berlin, Ostend, Seoul, and New York. Recent solo exhibitions include Dreams of Reality at Seoul Art Now Gallery in South Korea, Turning Point IRL at Coin Coin Space in Zurich, POWERBANK at Indigo in Zurich, and influENSORed at Oever Gallery in Ostend. His work has also been presented in group exhibitions including Shape Shifters during Zurich Art Weekend, Picnic at the Park, ETERNAL ELEMENTS, Most Hated Artwork, and The Empty Gallery with Shrine NYC.
His work and artistic practice have been featured in publications including Luxury Magazine Korea, Artsin Square, The Studio Image Project, and Friend of the Artist. He lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland.
